Once a domain name is expired it enters the domain renewal grace period. This grace period allows the domain owner to renew the domain name at the normal renewal rate. The grace period for most domain extensions lasts for 30 days. If after the 30 days the domain still hasn’t been renewed, the expired domain will enter the domain redemption grace period. The cost of retrieving a domain name at this point is considerably more expensive.
NB
Any email accounts or websites that are associated with an expired domain won’t work.
